My Gypsy Life |
I travel (a lot), live in New York, and love photography. All photos are mine unless noted otherwise. Check more of them out at http://www.flickr.com/photos/mygypsylife. |
I’m home and I still have so many more stories and photos to post about my time in China. Until then, this is what I was thinking about in the cab from the airport to my apartment, driving down the BQE, seeing the Manhattan skyline for the first time in 6.5 weeks.
There are 3 stages of a traveler:
#1: Visiting place for a few days is like a first date, everyone is on their best behavior. Both are perfect in this moment.
#2: Staying in a place for 6 weeks is like the first time you have sex with that person. You are addicted and you want more. You are giddy with passion.
#3: Living in a place is like being in a relationship. You are comfortable but there are flaws. Sometimes you need to reignite the romance.
I’m not ready to reignite the romance with New York because I’m giddy over Shanghai.
